Carry on my wayward son

I covered the stuff that makes being a dad not so fun, but the truth is — the good stuff so far outweighs the bad stuff, it isn’t even a comparison. There are many, many things to list — like taking the kiddo to the grocery store without a wedding ring on — but I am going to keep it to six (that way I have at least one more than my list of un-fun things).

Things I have come to dislike

In a month during which we saw pneumonia, multiple ear infections and the dreaded stomach bug, I learned that I do not like the following things:
1. Cleaning up vomit at 12:30 AM after going to bed at 12:10 AM 2. Cleaning up vomit at 2:00 AM after cleaning it up at 12:30 AM 3. Cleaning up vomit at 3:15 AM after cleaning it up at 2:00 AM 4. The feeling of warm vomit as it saturates your pants and underwear 5. Cleaning up vomit at 4:30 AM after having been vomited on and after cleaning it up at 3:15 AM
