After just about two and a half years and a brief stint on an Aerobed (a re view on this gem coming soon), we modified the IKEA Mammut crib into the IKEA Mammut toddler bed. As I have noted in some earlier comments, the crib/bed has held up great — but we were also lucky with the fact our son didn’t gnaw on the railing. We are still in love with this piece and the three drawer chest that is in his room.

IKEA is recalling its SNIGLAR cribs due to the potential for the mattress supports to collapse. You can get more information on this recall here at CPSC.gov.
Please note that this is NOT a drop-side crib. Also, since I have reviewed and still recommend the MAMMUT crib — this DOES NOT include the MAMMUT Crib. The MAMMUT crib has not been recalled to date and I still think it is a fantastic crib.

We didn’t start out with an idea to decorate the nursery in all IKEA — it honestly just happened that way. The Mammut stuff was simply too fun not to use (even the green carpets on the floor are from IKEA — but THAT was because the matched).

Not much to review on this thing — the IKEA Mammut Three Drawer Chest has three drawers and works — but I did want to show a picture of how it looks in a room. The curtains in the background are from IKEA as well — but we had bought them years before for a different room. They just happened to match everything else.
