Bulleit Bourbon

To start off – I am not in love with every liquor that touches my lips. I just happen to be starting with some that I like since I have them on hand.
I think likes and dislikes are important here as it can play a role in a review. My drink of choice is a peaty scotch like Laphroaig or Ardmore. I am still working my way through the shelves of bourbons, but on the whole, I find them a bit sweet — presumably due to the level of corn in the mix.

Tullamore Dew

I like Tullamore Dew. I can’t say that it has a certain taste profile that will wow you — I can only say that for a bottle of Irish Whiskey in the low $20 range, it is worth having in your rotation of spirits. I kept it as my house whiskey for a long time — and only made a switch to shake things up a bit. All I can say is that it’s whiskey — it’s Irish — and it’s decently smooth.

Ardmore Highland Single Malt – Traditional Cask

This is a delicious single malt made by the Admore Distillery. The palate is very peaty and as Ardmore suggests, really opens up with just a touch of water. Overall, it is something I will look to buy again
