Realizing I Know Nothing
Give the gift of water
There are so many things in life that I take for granted — with water being very high on that list. I have a hard enough time watching my son fight simple infections that I know will clear up — so I can’t even begin to imagine what it is like to watch your child suffer without something so basic as water. This is why I signed up for P&G’s Give Health Program. I know I sit the fence on the impact of big business, but this is something I see as a very worthwhile cause.
If you notice, I added a widget in the top right sidebar where all you need to do is submit your email address and click the submit button. Based on everything I have read, your email address is used for nothing other than to verify your click. For every click, P&G will donate one day’s worth of drinking water. You can find more information about that here at the Children’s Safe Drinking Water site.
If you have a blog and want to become part of the program, you can go to the Changents Give Health site.
UPDATE: I just read the letter that was attached to getting the widget. Apparently I receive a $50 gift card or giveaway if my widget produces 1000+ days of water. So, as a disclaimer, if I do hit this number, I will figure out a way to raffle it off or donate it. I have not received anything from P&G for putting up this widget, nor do I want to receive anything for it.
