Bulleit Bourbon | TheDaddyBlogger.com To start off – I am not in love with every liquor that touches my lips. I just happen to be starting with some that I like since I have them on hand.

I think likes and dislikes are important here as it can play a role in a review. My drink of choice is a peaty scotch like Laphroaig or Ardmore. I am still working my way through the shelves of bourbons, but on the whole, I find them a bit sweet — presumably due to the level of corn in the mix.

For those that like a similar peaty taste profile, Bulleit Bourbon is a decent transitional bourbon. It has a kick at 90 proof and a decent oaky taste — which is why it interests me. Typically, I don’t care about the bottle since the spirit is what I want and not the glass, but after just watching the entire Deadwood series from HBO from start to finish, the bottle has an old time styling that is appealing for this reason (and makes sense since on the label it calls itself a “frontier whiskey”).

Bulleit is ultimately a product of Diageo.
